Khalistan supporters created ruckus
Indian High Commission In London: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) is probing the disturbance by Khalistan supporters in the Indian Embassy in London, UK. A team of NIA has reached London to investigate this case. There are five officers in the team. In the midst of the Punjab Police’s action on Khalistan supporter Amritpal Singh, his supporters created a ruckus in London. Amritpal’s supporters also insulted the tricolor at the High Commission office.
Khalistan supporters tried to hoist the Khalistani flag there by taking down the tricolor. This matter was raised by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his conversation with British PM Rishi Sunak on 13 April. PM Modi appealed to Sunak to take strict action against anti-India elements. Sunak also agreed with this and called it completely “unacceptable”. He had agreed to provide adequate security to the High Commission.

NIA took over the case on the instructions of the Ministry of Home Affairs.
The Ministry of Home Affairs had asked the National Investigation Agency to take over the investigation of this case. Later, the NIA had sought a copy of the FIR and other necessary information from the Special Cell of the Punjab Police which came into action. The Ministry of Home Affairs had also talked to the British officials regarding the disturbance outside the Indian High Commission. The ministry had asked Britain to keep an eye on the security of the High Commission and Khalistani activities.
Amritpal Singh’s supporters created ruckus
His supporters had created ruckus in many other countries also regarding the action of Punjab Police on Amritpal Singh. India’s public properties were damaged in Australia, Canada and even America. Khalistan supporters also ransacked many places. In San Francisco, Khalistan supporters removed the barricading outside the High Commission and entered inside. Wall paint was also done here in support of Amritpal. Now Amritpal Singh is in police custody. Many of his associates are also lodged in jail.
