Washington (EMS). A surprising case has come to light in Texas, America. A 3-year-old child died by drowning in a pool in a water park here. There is no one else responsible for the child’s death but his mother. It is alleged that his mother was busy singing songs on the phone for hours.
The woman’s lawyer accused the lifeguards present at the water park of not paying attention to the child. The incident occurred at Camp Cohen Waterpark in El Paso. The accused woman has been identified as Jessica Weaver (35). Now the woman is facing charges of negligence and is being held responsible for the tragic death of her only child, Anthony Leo Malave.
At the same time, 18 lifeguards were present on duty in the park during the incident, one of whom pulled the 3-year-old child out of the pool. The pool was 4 feet deep, in which the child was lying dead. The child was not wearing a lifejacket. Camp Cohen Waterpark rules require children under 6 to be supervised by an experienced swimmer, but the boy did not have one.
A woman who was there testified that the child’s mother lay by the pool for more than an hour, completely absorbed in her phone, not looking up or paying attention to anything. Another witness said that the woman was continuously taking photographs near the pool.
