Mossad, one of the world’s most dangerous agencies, launched a complex intelligence operation last month. This was confirmed by Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett in parliament on Monday. Actually, Mossad started this mission to locate the missing Israeli Airman Ron Arad a few decades ago. In 1986, Lieutenant Ron Lebanon’s plane got stuck in Lebanon during the bombing. The pilot of this plane was rescued by Israeli authorities but Airman Navigator Ron remained stranded in Lebanon.
After this he was captured by Amal, a Shia Muslim terrorist organization in Lebanon. Amal offered to release Ron in exchange for 200 Lebanese and 450 Palestinian prisoners. Israel flatly refused to do so. The issue of Arad has been in the headlines in Israel for decades. Most people there believe that Arad died in prison in 1988, two years after the failed prisoner swap attempt.
Extremely complex, extensive and adventurous operations
Naftali Bennett, while addressing the winter session of parliament, Knesset, said last month that Mossad’s men and women had embarked on a very complex, elaborate and daring operation to gather intelligence about agents Arad. At present, nothing more can be told about this mission. In this matter, the Mossad Chief told that he has told in the internal meeting with Mossad that even though it was a very courageous mission, but we have proved to be a failure in this mission.

Iran’s general kidnapped for mission
The last news about Ron came in the year 1988. How serious Mossad was about this mission, it can be gauged from the fact that Mossad had kidnapped an Iranian general in Syria so that new information related to Ron could be gathered. He was interrogated there by the Israeli intelligence agency and then this general was released.
