New Delhi (HS). India has completely rejected the statement given by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and the statement of the Foreign Minister in the Canadian Parliament on Tuesday. The Prime Minister of Canada had accused India of involvement in the murder of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar.
Responding to these allegations, the Ministry of External Affairs said that Canada is continuously allowing Khalistan groups to flourish that work against India’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. He is making such allegations to divert attention from his weakness.
According to the ministry, “Allegations of involvement of the Government of India in any act of violence in Canada are absurd and motivated. Similar allegations were raised by the Prime Minister of Canada with our Prime Minister (Narendra Modi), which were completely rejected. “We are a democratic country with a strong commitment to the rule of law.”
India has demanded that the Government of Canada take prompt and effective legal action against all anti-India elements operating from its soil.
India alleged that Canada’s continued lack of action against Khalistani extremists remains a matter of concern. It is also a matter of deep concern that Canadian political figures are showing sympathy with these Khalistan elements.
India said protection for many illegal activities, including murder, human trafficking and organized crime, is nothing new in Canada. The Ministry of External Affairs rejects any attempt to link the Government of India to such developments.
Canadian journalist raised questions
Senior Canadian journalist Tahir Aslam Gora has questioned the Canadian government’s allegations in the Nijjar murder case. Gora says that recently Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has returned from India after participating in the G20 conference. Many controversial news had appeared in the media during his stay in India. At such a time, what does the accusation being leveled against India regarding the Nijjar massacre indicate?
It is believed that Canadian Prime Minister Trudeau’s latest allegation on India has been made under the pressure of a large number of pro-Khalistan elements living there. A large number of Khalistan supporters are active in the political system there.
