According to the news of the Kathmandu Post, stones were pelted from both sides of the Kali river in which four Nepali citizens, including a minor, were injured. Nepal’s Home Ministry’s deputy spokesperson Basant Bhattarai told the news website, ‘The Ministry of Home Affairs has written a letter to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Monday, pleading for a long-term solution to the recurring disputes in Dharchula.’
Nepal looking for long term solution
Bhattarai said that we have asked the Ministry of External Affairs to start talks with India to find a long-term solution. Confirming this, a senior Nepali Foreign Ministry official said that his office had received letters from the Ministry of Home Affairs but due to time constraints, they could not convey the concerns to the Indian side. They will be read on Tuesday and then talks will be held with the Indian side.
