He breathed his last in Afghanistan at the age of 78. From 1992 to 1994, Ahmed Shah Ahmadzai served in the government of Afghanistan in various key positions. After this, he served Afghanistan as Prime Minister from 1995 to 1996. Let us tell you that after this the Taliban occupied Afghanistan. After which he left the country. Ahmed Shah Ahmedzai, the former Prime Minister of Afghanistan, was living in India since then till a few days before this month.     Ahmed Shah Ahmedzai was born in the village of Malang in Khaki Jabbar district of Kabul province, Afghanistan. It is said that he studied engineering from Kabul University in Afghanistan. According to media reports, Ahmed Shah Ahmedzai was given a scholarship in the year 1972 to study at Colorado State University in the United States.

    After which he obtained his master’s degree in the year 1975 and became a professor at King Faisal University in Saudi Arabia. Let us tell you that the political life of Ahmed Shah Ahmedzai has been challenging. He first worked in the Ministry of Agriculture of Afghanistan.

    The year 1978 was the moment in Ahmed Shah Ahmedzai’s life when he returned to Afghanistan to join the Mujahideen. It is said that there was a communist coup in the same year and after this he returned to Afghanistan. The pages of history show Ahmed Shah Ahmadzai as a close associate of Burhanuddin Rabbani. Which is true too. Let us tell you that after coming back to Afghanistan, Ahmed Shah Ahmedzai started a new political career. He became the deputy of Jamiat-e-Islami Party. However, he left this too after a gap of a few days and in 1992 joined Abdul Rasool Sayyaf’s Islamic Organization of Afghanistan party. After this, he continued to achieve a new position in political life day by day. He served as a minister in the post-communist Afghan government, variously as Minister of the Interior, Works and Education, and later served as Prime Minister of Afghanistan between 1995 and 1996.
