Iran-backed Houthi rebels have carried out several attacks on the UAE in recent days. This includes the attack on a petroleum depot and an airport in Abu Dhabi. On January 17, two Indians and a Pakistani national were also killed in attacks by Houthi rebels on the Musaffa ICAD-3 area and Abu Dhabi International Airport. After this, on the morning of 24 January, Houthi rebels fired missiles at Abu Dhabi. These missiles were shot down by US Air Defense Systems stationed in the UAE. Not only this, in retaliation, the UAE also attacked the Houthi rebels’ bases through F-16 fighter jets. The United Arab Emirates’ Defense Ministry released a video of the incident and announced that it would never spare its country’s enemies.
America said – Deployment in support of UAE
The move comes in support of the UAE after a series of attacks by Houthi rebels throughout January, the US Air Force said after the deployment of F-22 Raptor aircraft. This shows that we stand firmly with the UAE and its military. The Air Force statement also said that US Defense Secretary Kay has ordered the rapid deployment of fifth-generation aircraft after talks with the UAE Crown Prince Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. These F-22 Raptor aircraft have been deployed in the UAE from the US Air Force’s Joint Base Langley-Eustice in Virginia.
The F-22 is one of the most dangerous planes in the world
The F-22 Raptor is a fifth generation fighter aircraft. It is also counted among the most advanced fighter aircraft in the world. The F-22 Raptor is manufactured by American company Lockheed Martin. The F-22 was inducted into the US Air Force on 15 December 2005, 16 years ago today. The US has so far made 195 units of the F-22, out of which 8 aircraft have been kept for testing. The remaining 187 F-22 Raptors are operational in the US Air Force. This aircraft is equipped with such dangerous technology that America has not sold it to any other country.
America making an upgraded version of the F-22
These days America is preparing to make the sixth generation fighter aircraft. The US Air Force has made a big disclosure about the center piece of the Next Generation Air Dominance (NGAD) system. This fighter aircraft will be capable of hitting any part of the world after taking off in one go. Not only this, the enemy will not be able to escape even in the air due to its hitting. This aircraft will replace the Lockheed Martin F-22 Raptor of the US Air Force.
