Statistics show that the inflation rate in the country is more than 24 percent and the burden of foreign debt has increased to $ 170 billion. In this hour of crisis, even Muslim countries like Saudi Arabia and UAE are not standing with Egypt. India has held the hand of troubled Egypt. To overcome the food crisis of Egypt, India is providing wheat in large quantities. These ties will be further cemented this time on the Republic Day when the President of Egypt will attend the celebrations as the chief guest.
This time in India, the President of Egypt, Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, will be present as the chief guest at the Republic Day parade. He will reach Delhi on Tuesday at 6 pm. On Wednesday, he will hold talks with PM Modi and his reception will be organized at Rashtrapati Bhavan. The visit focuses on strengthening ties between Delhi-Cairo on defence, agriculture, education sectors. CC will leave from Delhi on Friday morning.
Muslim countries left Egypt alone
Egypt is seen as a moderate and influential voice in the Islamic world. He has raised his voice against terrorism many times. It does not support Pakistani policies in the OIC (Organization of Islamic Cooperation) organization of Muslim countries. The collapse of the country has also been warned about the crisis in Egypt. Till now, Gulf countries like Saudi Arabia, UAE were strengthening the hands of Egypt to counter Iran. But now Israel and America are doing the same thing together. So Egypt is left alone in the Arab world, when it needs help the most.
Not only wheat, rice also ended in Egypt
The President of Egypt has also accepted that his ‘friend’ countries are not supporting him in this difficult time. Countries like Kuwait are also opposing the aid to Egypt. In addition to a faltering economy, skyrocketing inflation and a shortage of wheat, Egypt is also facing a serious rice crisis. The stock of rice is getting low in many companies. People are now either eating poor quality rice or have reduced its quantity relatively.
