According to Dipendra Rokaya, a local resident, 35-year-old Jamuna Rokaya died after being hit by a rock due to the earthquake in the same municipality. Similarly, more than 40 sheep in Ramdal Bohora died in a landslide triggered by the tremors. One person was injured in the incident.
According to Ashok Singh, deputy inspector general of police of Sudurpaschim province, the earthquake damaged several houses in Bajura and Bajhang districts. Bajura police officer Surya Bahadur Thapa said that several houses were damaged.
Some houses were also damaged in the Himalayas of western Nepal. According to the country’s Earthquake Monitoring and Research Center, the tremors of the national earthquake were very strong.
