The situation on the border has remained extremely tense since last year’s clash between the Indian and Chinese forces in the Galvan Valley. In recent days, the 13th round of military-level talks between the two countries were held to resolve the border dispute, but these talks were in vain. Soon after this conversation, both the countries had also issued statements on their behalf, India had said then that China is not ready to accept it. At the same time, China said that India is making a wrong assessment of the situation. Amidst this controversy, a controversial article by China’s leading newspaper Global Times has come to the fore.
China will not come under pressure – Global Times
China’s propaganda newspaper Global Times has written in its editorial that, “China should be prepared for a military conflict in the midst of deteriorating relations with India. India should understand one thing very well – India will not get the border in the way it wants. If India wants to start a war, then it will surely be defeated in this war. China will ignore any kind of political maneuvering or pressure. Some things are also very important for China to handle the border dispute with India. No matter how many troubles India creates, China’s territory will remain China’s and we will never hand it over.”
China will not back down in war
Referring to the war in China’s newspaper Global Times, it has been written that, “The people of China know that both India and China are powerful countries that have enough forces and means to fight for a long time on the border. Such a confrontation between India and China will be quite regrettable, but if India is ready to do so, then China will not back down till the end. The conflict in Galvan Valley proves that China is powerful.

Earlier, India was hopeful that China would be soft on its approach to the border dispute and a good solution to the problem would be found on the negotiating table. However, China has continued its stubbornness, and the dispute continues to deepen. Many experts have also been critical of India’s stand in this. He believes that India has still not been able to develop a right attitude towards this dispute.
