    China’s new move to strengthen in Afghanistan, providing modern weapons to Taliban

    Kabul: In the name of protecting its citizens in Afghanistan, China has now made a new move. A report by The Jameston Foundation has revealed this new trick of China. This report has been prepared by Zafar Iqbal Yusufzai, who has written a book on US-Pakistan relations, in which he has claimed that China is equipping the Taliban with modern weapons. Recently, a hotel located in Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan, was attacked by the Islamic State Khorasan Province (ISKP). This is the hotel where most of the Chinese citizens stay. Only after this attack, China is on alert mode and it is engaged in making Taliban strong.

    Due to the ongoing violence and instability in Afghanistan, Chinese interests are under threat. China is beginning to feel that if this situation continues, then in the coming days, there may be difficulties in the success of its ambitious project Belt and Road Initiative (BRI). Keeping this in mind, it has been decided to provide arms to the Taliban. Concern has also been expressed by Chinese sources that there is a situation of continuous violence and uncertainty in Afghanistan.

    On December 12, 2022, when ISKP terrorists targeted a hotel in Kabul, many Chinese citizens were present there. Five Chinese citizens were injured in this attack. While 18 foreign nationals had died. The three attackers involved in the attack were gunned down. Initially it was said that this hotel is run by Chinese businessmen. Chinese diplomats and businessmen often visit this hotel.

    What is China’s planning

China is increasing mutual contact with the Taliban.

    In the year 2021, when the Taliban government came to power in Afghanistan, Iran, Pakistan, Russia and China decided to help the Taliban for the purpose of stability in the country. On the other hand, China also continues to worry that the presence of America in Afghanistan is a strategic threat to it.
