Knowledge given on CPEC in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir
China said that the G20 is a forum for international economic cooperation and pointed to India that the parties concerned should avoid complicating the situation with unilateral steps. “We call on all major economies to focus on the sustainable recovery of the global economy, refrain from politicizing this relevant issue, and make a positive contribution to improving global economic governance,” the Chinese spokesman said. On the question asked about joining this conference to be held in India, China said that we will consider whether we will attend the meeting or not.
The hypocrisy of the Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson came to the fore when he was asked questions about the CPEC project in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir. CPEC, a part of Chinese President Xi Jinping’s Dream Project Belt and Road Corridor, runs through PoK and India has strongly opposed it. On the question asked about the opposition of CPEC and India, the Chinese Spokesperson claimed that both the cases are of completely different nature. He said that China has undertaken projects to develop Pakistan’s economy and improve the livelihood of its people.
Pakistan had opposed the G20 summit in Kashmir
Lijian said, “Some projects are in that part of Kashmir which is under the control of Pakistan. The concerned Chinese companies running the projects do this with the aim of helping the local people to develop their economy and improve their livelihood. “It has not affected our stand on the issue of Kashmir,” he said. Earlier on June 25, Pakistan had said that it rejects India’s attempt to organize a meeting of the G20 countries in Kashmir. He had also sought help from his friends China, Turkey etc.
