Zelensky participated in the G-20 summit held in Indonesia via video conference. He told the conference that Kherson’s liberation from Russian occupation after eight months was reminiscent of many battles in the past, which proved to be decisive in the war.

Nearly nine months into the Ukraine-Russia war, the recapture of Kherson is being hailed as Ukraine’s biggest victory.
US President Joe Biden has also termed it as an important victory for Ukraine. “We will continue to provide assistance to the people of Ukraine so that they can protect themselves,” Biden said at a meeting on the sidelines of the G-20 summit.
Addressing the G-20 summit, Ukraine’s president called for a special tribunal to be set up to try Russian military and political figures for war crimes against Ukraine.
Zelensky outlined the G-20 as the G-19 and said that Russia should be expelled from the group.
