America rejects PRC’s claim
The US has once again recognized the McMahon Line as the international border between China and India, in a resolution that came after violent military skirmishes along the Line of Actual Control in the eastern region between India and China. The resolution also rejects the claim of the People’s Republic of China (PRC) that Arunachal Pradesh is the territory of the PRC. This proposal has come at a time when the tension between the US and China regarding other countries like India, Taiwan is at its peak.

‘Arunachal Pradesh is an integral part of India’
Senator Jeff Merkley said, ‘American values that support freedom and a rules-based regime must be at the center of all our actions and relationships, especially as the PRC government is moving forward with a different approach.’ “The resolution clarifies that the United States views Arunachal Pradesh as an integral part of India, not the People’s Republic of China… and looks forward to deepening support and assistance there, along with like-minded international partners in the region,” he said. Reiterates the American commitment.
