Somebody gives poison or he himself commits suicide… it doesn’t matter to anyone. Afganistan In India, girls are not half the population but have become just a thing. Whose living or dying is not making any difference to anyone. A hallmark of this was seen a day ago. An attempt was made to kill 80 innocent school going girl students by poisoning them.
This is not the first time this has happened and it is probably not the last time. In the last few years, attempts have been made to kill about 10,000 girls in this way. But leave aside the noise, there was hardly even a mention. After the arrival of Taliban, the situation has become worse. A few months ago the same thing happened in Iran. When an attempt was made to poison more than 5000 girls.

It is difficult for girls to live under Taliban rule
In the year 2021, the Taliban overthrew the elected government and captured Afghanistan. Since then, life has become difficult for girls and women. A well-known social worker from Afghanistan (on the condition of anonymity) spoke openly to TV9 on this issue. She tells that as soon as the Taliban came, without any reason, first of all, they banned the education of girls in the school-university. Whereas for the last two decades separate education system was going on for girls.
Taliban does not want girls to study and write. As a result of this, girls’ schools and educational institutions were targeted in Kabul. Many girl students lost their lives. The case of poisoning 80 girl students in Sar-e-Pul is enough to understand their condition there.

message to families
This activist, who left her country and lives in America after the Taliban occupation, says that in Afghan society special attention is given to the safety of girls, but not stopping the campaign of fundamentalists against their education is a way of sending a direct message. In a way, a message is being given to the families of the girls that no one cares about the education of the girls. No one cares about their safety. It is better that they do not go to school.
Afghan girls want to commit suicide
BBC in one of its news has raised the issue of increase in suicide cases of girls in Afghanistan. They are in severe depression due to closure of schools and colleges and snatching of basic rights. Even they are committing suicide. A person told that when the school session started in March, his daughter committed suicide on the very first day. He thought that his school would also open in the new session, but it did not happen. She couldn’t stand it. Many such cases have come to the fore.
Radicals can’t tolerate the progress of women
Afghan social workers tell that apart from Afghanistan, the same thing was seen in Iran as well. In fact, there is a very narrow thinking in these countries regarding the freedom of women. Fundamentalists are scared of educated women. That is why they want to suppress them at every opportunity.
poisoning cases
In Afghanistan, however, there have been cases of poisoning of girls in the past as well. In the year 2016, an attempt was made to poison 200 girls at Razia High School in Kabul. The age of these girls was between 8 years to 22 years. A few weeks before this, an attempt was made to kill 59 girl students. Even in the year 2015, fundamentalists tried to poison and kill more than 10,000 girl students.
