According to the report of IANS, a fine of Rs 42,000 has been imposed on the e-commerce platform by the Urban District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission of Bangalore. The commission told that when full payment was made in advance by the customer, then why was the product not delivered to him? As such, a fine of Rs 42,000 was imposed on him. Devashree, a resident of Rajajinagar area of Bangalore, ordered the smartphone on January 15, 2022, for Rs 12,499. But this phone was never delivered.
Total Rs 42,000 given along with interest
Flipkart was contacted several times by Devashree regarding product delivery. But despite this the phone was never ordered. After this Devashree planned to make a complaint against the e-commerce platform. In an order following the complaint, the commission ordered Flipkart to pay Rs 12,499 for the phone. Ordered to pay a total of Rs 20,000 and legal expenses of Rs 10,000 at the rate of 12 per cent interest for seven years. In this way, a total of Rs 42,000 was given to the woman.

The Bangalore Consumer Court said in the judgment that Flipkart not only ignored the delivery of users in the case of phone delivery, but also followed unethical practice. It was also said that the consumer has suffered financially. Apart from this, he had to go through mental trauma.
