How to see if someone is misusing Wi-Fi?
Even if your Wi-Fi is working properly, then nothing goes to see if there is anyone who is secretly using your internet. First of all, make sure that you always have password protected Wi-Fi at home and only your devices are connected to that network.
To see which devices are connected to your home Wi-Fi, the first thing you need to do is load the router’s app. You must have used this app first while setting up your Wi-Fi.
Also on the bottom of your router you will find the address that will allow you to connect to the device. If your router doesn’t have a companion app, you can also load it in a browser. Log in to it and go to Connected devices, Wireless clients or any such option in the menu. In this you will know that how many and which devices are connected to your Wi-Fi.
One more thing, if you have many gadgets connected to your Wi-Fi then you may not be aware of some gadgets. This is because the name of all connected gadgets is not necessarily simple like iphone, ipad. One way to find out is to turn off the Wi-Fi of all the devices in your home. Refresh the Router tab or app. After this you will probably only see your computer connected to Wi-Fi. Apart from this, whatever device you see will be of someone else who will be using your internet.
How to block someone from using your Wi-Fi
The easiest way is to change the password by going to wireless settings or wireless security. First it will ask you for your old password, then enter the new password. Save and make changes. After this, connect all your devices using the new Wi-Fi password. After this is done, your Wi-Fi will once again be your only control.
