Telecom company Vodafone-Idea (Vi) is busy gossiping about Jio and Airtel these days. In fact, Jio and Airtel are offering unlimited 5G data for free to their customers. Against this, Vi has reached to complain to Telecom Regulatory Authority of India i.e. TRAI.Jio-Airtel complaint
Vi says that if unlimited 5G data is given for free by Jio and Airtel, then it will not be able to survive in the competition. Vi alleges that Jio and Airtel are big telecom companies. In such a situation, they cannot offer unlimited 5G data to their users for free.

    Rs 249 recharge required
When TRAI asked Jio and Airtel for an answer in this matter, both the companies said that they are not offering 5G data for free. For this, users have to do a minimum 4G recharge of Rs 249. Also, this offer is helping users to keep pace with the 5G ecosystem.

    Why not own 5G
In this case, users using free 5G data of Jio and Airtel say that competition means that Vi should also launch 5G. Also 5G free data should be offered. But it should not happen that if a company is offering cheap or free data, it should be opposed.

5G in up to 500 cities
Airtel has launched 5G service in 500 cities of India. While Jio’s coverage is up to 400 cities. Both companies are providing 5G service for free. However, a minimum 4G recharge of Rs 249 is mandatory for this.
