Bal Aadhar card was introduced by UIDAI in 2018 for children below 5 years of age. To enroll a child for Bal Aadhar card, all the parents need to have the child’s birth certificate and either of the parents Aadhar card number of any one is required. how to apply
1. For this, the parents have to first fill the application form available at the enrollment centre. Which has to be filled along with supporting documents like Proof of Identity (POI), Proof of Address (POA), Proof of Relationship. The most important is the date of birth of the child (DOB) document. Apart from this, it is also necessary to have a passport size photograph of the child.
2. Children below 5 years of age need not register their biometrics. However, once the child turns 5 years old he/she has to update the Aadhaar data and again at the age of 15 years. This mandatory biometric update is free for children.
