Strong robots will work in Havells plants, work is done in a superfast way

New Delhi. Havells has worked to further strengthen the ‘Make in India’ vision of the Government of India. Which is being discussed everywhere. The company has commissioned the most advanced robotic and industry 4.0 standard manufacturing plant in the country. Which has been started in Gilot, Rajasthan. According to the information, initially 3,00,000 units of washing machines can be made annually in this plant. Let us tell you that Havells aims to consolidate and strengthen its position in the washing machine and AC market in India.

It should be noted that the quality of the products in this category is very good due to the high level of automation and robotic touch points. Manufacturing Execution System (MES) has been installed to monitor the work being done in this unit. It helps in monitoring the production cycle in real time, improving production and saving time.

It is worth noting that Havells India Limited, the country’s leading ‘Fast Moving Electrical Goods (FMEG) company’ has strengthened its ‘Make in India’ strategy by showcasing its industry-first ‘Industry 4.0’ manufacturing plant for Lloyd ACs at Gilot, Rajasthan. announced its vision. To further diversify its manufacturing prowess, the company has now entered into Washing Machine (WM) production at the same location in Gilot where the AC plant is located. The washing machine plant has been inaugurated by Shri Amitabh Kant, Chief Executive Officer, NITI Aayog. Spread over 50 acres in Gilot, the greenfield WM unit will significantly strengthen Lloyd’s WM production capacity with a targeted production of 3 lakh units annually. With the increase in production capacity, the company aims to bring 20 new models of washing machines and 50 new models of ACs in the market in 2022.

Currently manufacturing washing machines, this facility is well equipped to expand to over 5 lakh units annually. The manufacturing plant comprises of best-in-class machinery from Japan, Korea and Italy and is equipped with state of the art technologically advanced 10 robotic machines and AGV (Automated Guided Vehicle) and fully integrated material management system.

The plant also has Management Execution System – which helps in real time monitoring of processes thereby improving productivity. It also reduces the loss time and wastage.

On his journey into the most advanced robot and Industry 4.0 compliant consumer durable manufacturing plant, Amitabh Kant, CEO, NITI Aayog said, “The state-of-the-art facility for manufacturing Lloyd ACs and Washing Machines at Gilot is a testament.
