New Delhi. Samsung on Friday said that its new flagship phablet has been officially launched globally. The South Korean tech giant has high hopes from its new device for the mobile business amid the pandemic. According to Samsung, the Galaxy Note 20 series has been introduced in 70 countries including South Korea, the United States, the UK and Thailand.
This new Samsung device will be available in 130 countries by mid-September.
The Galaxy Note 20 series that was unveiled online on August 5 at the Galaxy Unpacked event comes in two models. Its first model is the standard Note 20 and the second model is the high-end Note 20 Ultra.
According to the Yonhap News Agency report, due to the pandemic, Samsung has said that the launch events and promotional activities of the new device will vary depending on the infection situation in each country.
South Korean analysts expect Note 20 series sales to be around 8 million units this year, which is lower than Note 10 series (about 10 million).
Samsung said that the pre-registrations for its Make in India Galaxy Note 20 smartphone in India has crossed the five lakh mark this year, which is more than double the figure achieved with the Galaxy Note 10 last year.
The 6.7-inch Galaxy Note 20 (8GB+256GB) has been launched in the country at a base price of Rs 77,999, while the 6.9-inch screen Galaxy Note 20 Ultra 5G (12GB+256GB) has been launched in the country at Rs 104,999. Will be available for Rs.
Customers pre-booking the Galaxy Note 20 will get benefits worth Rs 7,000, which can be redeemed on the Samsung Shop app on a range of products including Galaxy Buds Plus, Galaxy Buds Live, Galaxy Watch and Galaxy Tabs.
Apart from this, consumers can also avail cashback of up to Rs 6000 on the purchase of Galaxy Note 20 by paying using HDFC Bank credit and debit cards.
With bank cashback and Samsung Shop benefits, the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra 5G price in the country will be Rs 85,999. (IANS)
