According to media reports, a BSNL VIP number with XXX70000 digits was put up for sale by the company on the online portal. Where people can bid in auction for such numbers. This number was available for a week, with different auction bids coming in. The bidding started with Rs 20,000 and the final bid reached above Rs 2 lakh (2,00,000). The winner of the auction with a bid of Rs 2.4 lakh and the new owner of the said BSNL mobile number is Tanuj Dudeja of Kota who is by profession. Potato trader.

Have already taken VIP number for 1 lakh
Tanuj Dudeja has taken mobile number from BSNL office in Farrukhabad, Uttar Pradesh. A BSNL employee said that Dudeja prefers to have a VIP mobile number. The VIP number of Rs 2.4 lakh is his second purchase as he had earlier also bought another VIP number for Rs 1 lakh. There are many other VIP numbers available on the BSNL website as well.
