Link Aadhaar to Pan Card online like this, otherwise it will be junk from March 31

New Delhi. The Income Tax Department on Saturday issued an advisory saying that if Aadhaar is not linked with PAN, it will become useless after March 31. If you have not yet attached PAN card with Aadhaar, then immediately update PAN with Aadhaar. Otherwise your pan will be useless. If your PAN is cancelled, you will not be able to file IT returns. Also, will not be able to enjoy other essential facilities. The Income Tax Department said that it is mandatory to link PAN with Aadhaar, so let’s know how to link PAN with Aadhaar?

How to link pan with aadhaar
Step 1: First of all call your bank customer care center.
Step 2: After this go to the IVR menu option during the call. After that select the right menu option.
Step 3: After that connect with customer care executive.
Step 4: After that tell the executive that you want to link Aadhaar with PAN.
Step 5: After this, some questions will be asked for your customer care verification.
Step 6: After this you will have to tell the PAN card number.
Step 7: After this you will get the request number and confirmation call only. In the next 7 days, PAN will be linked with Aadhaar.

How to update Aadhaar with PAN online

Step 1: First go to incometax.gov.in/iec/foportal
Step 2: After this go to the ‘Quick Links’ section. After that scroll down and then click on the Link Aadhaar option.
Step 3: After this enter your name. Then enter the mobile number, Aadhaar number and PAN number.
Step 4: After that click on the verification option.
Step 5: After that click on the Continue option.
Step 6: Then an OTP will come on your registered mobile number.
Step 7: After this, after giving you some penalty, PAN will be linked to Aadhaar.
