With the latest update that brings it up to version 108.0.5359.94, Google Chrome for PC lets you track the prices of your favorite products so that you can buy it at the lowest price. This tool is now in-built in Google Chrome, which means you don’t need a third party price tracker. Many Chrome plug-ins are often found snooping on your browser activity, so you can’t be sure about them. Google Chrome’s built-in tool “will save you money and time when you shop.”
how to get google chrome price tracker
First you need to confirm that you have the latest version of Google Chrome on your PC or Mac. You can do this by going to the About Chrome page within the browser settings. If your machine is running an older version of Google Chrome, navigating to the About Chrome page automatically starts the download of the latest version. After the update is downloaded, the browser will install the new version, but it will ask you to relaunch the browser. This means that whatever work you are doing will stop for a moment. Before pressing the launch button again on Google Chrome, you have to confirm that your important files and online work have been saved.
After you’ve confirmed that your Chrome browser is up to date, visit the online store for any product you like. If you are on a listing page, a bell icon will appear in the address bar with a plus sign to represent the track price functionality. Click on that icon and Chrome will accept your request to track the price of the same product for as long as you want. Google will send you an email whenever the price of a product drops. For that you have to confirm that you are signed in to Google Chrome with the preferred email address. If you want Google Chrome to stop tracking prices, click Tracking Prices in the address bar, and then click Untrack.
