- phone experience will be better
Here we have listed some features that Android phone users should consider switching to immediately. Not only will you see an improvement in gadget performance by doing this, but none of your information will be leaked.
Lock-Screen Notifications:
No matter how convenient this feature is, but it always bothers you when it comes to privacy. It was rolled out by Google with the launch of Android 5.0, so you can interact directly from the lock screen via the notification panel without having to open the phone and go to the app. It also works to save some time. If you do not have this setting yet, then you need to update the software.
If a message arrives on your phone, you see it on the lock screen and it is visible to everyone around your handset. If you leave your phone and go somewhere else, people present can read this message. Of course, this can also become a matter of serious concern. To hide your sensitive information from the lock screen, you have to go to Settings and then to App Notifications. There you have to tap on Notifications and slide the toggle bar of ‘Sensitive information’ to the left.
App Shortcuts:
When you download an app from the Google PlayStore, it automatically creates its own shortcut on the home screen. Due to which there is no space left in your home screen and it spoils your entire front end, which also looks messy. However, the purpose of app shortcuts on the home screen is that you will be able to quickly open your most used apps without any hassle. But too many shortcuts can slow down the phone. To enable automatic app shortcuts, you have to long press on your home screen and then go to home settings. The toggle bar of the Add Icon to Home Screen option needs to be turned off. You can also long-press and hold on a particular app to remove it from the Home screen.
Your background apps may be using your data:
There may be many apps on your Android phone that are using your data to update in the background. This feature is there to help you. But when many apps are updated using your data then it can end your data. Thankfully you can adjust it too. To adjust background data usage, go to Apps in your Settings and then select an app. Then go to that particular app setting, there you can control background data under Mobile data and WiFi.
Turn Off Annoying Ads!
Google uses your online footprints to personalize your ads based on your interests. It can be handy to get the content and ads you want, but sometimes an overdose can bother you. To eliminate these personalized aids, you can go to your settings. Then by tapping on Google and then Ads, you will get the option of ‘Opt out of Ads Personalisation’. Tap on it and you’re done. After this you will not see such ads.
