Yuzvendra Chahal : World Cup 2023 is going to start soon. This time also a big name is missing from the World Cup to be played from October 5. Yes, we are talking about Indian cricket team spinner Yuzvendra Chahal. The World Cup squad is announced but this name is not a part of the team. India’s spinner shared his views on this.
On being left out of the World Cup, Chahal said, “I understand that there can be only 15 players in a team, not 17 or 18 because it is the World Cup. I do feel a little bad, but the aim of my life is to keep moving forward. Three World Cups have passed…I have got used to it now”. He was also not a part of the last two T20 World Cup squads.
Chahal is currently playing the County Championship
The spinner of the Indian team is currently playing the County Championship for Kent. Chahal believes that this is best for him at this time. Talking about his dream of playing red ball, he said, “That is why I have come to Kent, because I had to play cricket wherever and however. Here I am getting a chance to play red ball, and I really wanted to play red ball cricket for India. So it’s a good experience. I also talked to the coach and he is also happy that I am playing cricket somewhere.”
Said this on Ashwin-Kuldeep
Chahal also talked about India’s spinners Ashwin and Kuldeep. He said, “I don’t think that we are each other’s competition. If I perform well then I will play in the team. Someone will definitely replace you in the future. Not only this, Chahal talked about the World Cup 2023 and he is confident that Team India will definitely win the cup at home.
