Assembly Election Results: BJP got a bumper victory in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. Congress’s OBC and caste census card also failed in these states. In such a situation, the biggest question is what maneuver will the INDIA alliance use now to defeat BJP?
OBC card failed
Rahul Gandhi kept saying in every meeting that the greater the participation, the greater the responsibility. Congress claimed from every platform that if the government is formed, it will give importance to OBC reservation. The target was OBC vote bank but the results show that the card failed. The largest population in Madhya Pradesh is OBC. No stone was left unturned in wooing. This is the reason why Congress fielded about 27 percent i.e. around 60 candidates from this category, but here too the efforts seemed to fail.
Key points of Congress manifesto-
If we win the elections in Rajasthan, we will conduct a caste survey.
Security guards will be deployed in every village and urban ward.
The schemes already running will be further strengthened.
Housing will be given to everyone by bringing the Right to Housing Act.
A new cadre of government jobs will be created at the Panchayat level.
Gas cylinder is currently available for Rs 500, it will be reduced to Rs 400.
Villages and hamlets with population up to 100 will be connected by road.
The amount of Chiranjeevi insurance will be increased from Rs 25 lakh to Rs 50 lakh.
MNREGA and Indira Gandhi urban employment will be increased from 125 to 150 days.
4 lakh youth will be given government jobs. 10 lakh youth will be given employment.
MSP law will be brought for farmers as per the recommendations of Swaminathan Committee.
By bringing RTE law in the state, education up to 12th will be made free in private educational institutions also.
Government employees will be given fourth pay scale series with 9,18,27 and officers will be given apex scale.
Merchant Credit Card Scheme will be started to provide interest free loan up to Rs 5 lakh to small traders and shopkeepers.
Which card will the opposition open now?
The election results show that the public did not trust anything in the Congress manifesto. Big things about the caste survey remained unchanged. Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat had also said that the party which first divided the country, then divided it on the basis of language, then divided the country on the basis of dialect, divided the country in the name of rich and poor, in the name of touchable and untouchable. Divided the country in the name of forward and backward, whereas the party is now working to divide the country and society in the name of castes. Those who widened the distance in the name of religion are now talking about widening the distance in the name of caste. Congress does not have the moral right to talk about OBC. In such a situation, it remains to be seen what new card Congress brings now.
