AAP retreats after supporting TMC
According to several media reports, party sources have informed that AAP has retreated in Bengal for the sake of opposition unity. That means now AAP will not contest the Panchayat elections to be held in West Bengal. Because TMC (Trinamool Congress) has supported AAP against the Centre’s ordinance. So AAP also has to give something in return. Means AAP will pay its price by not contesting elections.
Opposition getting stronger against BJP
At the same time, the top leaders of the Aam Aadmi Party say that the real fight of the party is against the BJP. That’s why it has been decided that elections will not be contested in states where regional parties are strong. Let us tell you that recently Mamta Banerjee had given this formula in view of the Lok Sabha elections to unite the opposition. Regarding the anti-BJP alliance, he said that in the state where the party is strong, it will contest elections there. The opposition will be fully benefited by this. It is believed that this step of AAP will strengthen the opposition unity against BJP.
