The tussle between BJP and TMC has been going on since the Bengal assembly elections. Now once again there is a war between both the parties. In fact, on the last day of campaigning for Bhawanipur by-election, BJP has accused TMC workers of attack. BJP has said that its senior leader and national vice president Dilip Ghosh has been attacked during the campaign in Bhawanipur. Its video footage has also surfaced. In which Dilip Ghosh’s security personnel are seen driving away the attacker by showing a pistol.
After this attack, Shubhendu Adhikari, surrounded Mamta Banerjee, has questioned how long this cycle of violence will continue again. After the attack, Dilip Ghosh has also surrounded the state government. He said that when there can be attacks on public representatives in Bhawanipur, then how can common citizens remain safe there? Dilip Ghosh has further claimed that TMC goons tried to kill me in Bhawanipur today. During the scuffle, two security personnel of Dilip Ghosh were also seen taunting the gun. These people were waving pistols to disperse the crowd.
At the same time, Shubhendu Adhikari said that I had left TMC due to violence. The more bloodshed TMC does, the more people will come to vote. I am sure people will cast their votes, people are not afraid anymore. Dilip Ghosh also accused Mamata Banerjee’s brother of assault. He said, ‘In Bhawanipur, Mamta’s brothers have beaten up the police. Where the police and public representatives are being attacked, what will happen to the general public? This is nothing but a new way of intimidating people.
Shubhendu Adhikari said that the Bhawanipur by-election has been imposed on the people on behalf of Mamta. He said that such elections take place only then. When the MP or MLA dies or changes the party. Because of which his membership is lost. But MLA Shobhandev is healthy. Nor has he changed the party but still by-elections are being held. Three crore taxpayers’ money is being spent on this election.
Let us tell you that since the time of Bengal assembly elections, TMC chief Mamata Banerjee had contested from Nandigram leaving her traditional seat Bhawanipur. After which he had to face defeat, Mamta Banerjee was defeated by Shubhendu Adhikari.
