Amit Shah said that there was a time when even Uttar Pradesh Police was afraid of gangsters and criminals in the state. “Now the gangsters and criminals are so scared of the police that they are surrendering themselves – that too with a ‘patta’ (collar) around their neck”
In view of the upcoming UP assembly elections, the country’s Home Minister Amit Shah reached Mathura today to campaign for the elections. First, Shah offered prayers at the Banke Bihari temple. Union Minister Amit Shah said at a public meeting in Mathura in Western North, “Azam Khan was arrested and there were a lot of charges against him. Akhilesh babu you talk about law you should be ashamed.” Union Minister Amit Shah today launched a scathing attack on Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav, saying electing him would mean the return of “gunda raj” (anarchy) in Uttar Pradesh. Addressing a limited gathering as per the rules of the Election Commission, Amit Shah said, “There was a time when gangsters and criminals used to spread such panic that even the state police was afraid of them. Women and young girls were afraid to step out. But now that has changed. Gangsters and criminals are now so scared of the police that they are surrendering themselves – that too with a collar around their neck. Shah further said, “India cannot progress unless Uttar Pradesh – with 200 million people – is progressing. It is your faith and belief that UP is progressing today. It is UP that will decide the fate of India.”
Earlier this morning, Amit Shah offered prayers at Shri Banke Bihari Temple in Vrindavan. Shah said, “I want to personally thank all of you here in Mathura because in 2014, 2017 or 2019, only ‘lotus’ has been seen here. You have helped strengthen Uttar Pradesh. In fact, across UP, I thank all the people of UP who have helped bring about a change for the better.”
