As the elections to the Legislative Assembly in Uttar Pradesh are approaching, the politics is getting intensified. One party is not leaving a single opportunity to attack the other party. At the same time, politics is happening on the sofa in Uttar Pradesh these days. Actually the matter is that on November 3, Samajwadi Party National President Akhilesh Yadav had gone to the house of a victim’s family who lost his life due to dengue in Giza village of Saifai tehsil of Etawah. During this, politics has started on the sofa on which Akhilesh was sitting.
A family named Mukesh Batham lives in village Gija under Open Tehsil. Mukesh has opened a small food and drink hotel in Saifai’s market to support his family. Along with this, he feeds his family by doing farming. Mukesh’s son was married 3 months ago, he died of dengue on 20th, on getting information about which Akhilesh Yadav reached his house.
Now when Akhilesh Yadav reached to meet the victim’s family, he was found sitting on the sofa. Both Congress and BJP fiercely attacked the picture of Akhilesh Yadav’s sofa. Youth Congress President Srinivas Biwi tweeted that where did the sofa come from in the house where there is no plaster?
Where was BJP state president Swatantra Dev Singh going to stay behind? He taunted that the princes of UP, who talk about socialism, take their sofa with them wherever they go.
When politics started on the sofa, the victim’s family came forward and clarified. The father of the deceased, Mukesh Batham, told that the white sofa on which Akhilesh Yadav was sitting, was received as a gift three months ago in the marriage of the deceased son. He said that after the death of his son, Akhilesh Yadav had come to inquire about his condition. He said that in the last four months, he married off his two sons. He said the second brown sofa was also gifted four months ago at the wedding of his second son.
