-Search of joint killer on hot seat…
Bhopal(EMS). The burnt milk Congress wants to drink buttermilk this time in the elections of Madhya Pradesh. The party has made up its mind to make a big change in the most important ticket distribution strategy in the elections. This time the Congress is working on a strategy to give more preference in ticket distribution to the winnable as well as the sustainable candidate. These days screening committee meetings are being held in the capital Bhopal. The committee will hand over a list of names on each seat to the Congress Election Committee. The name will be finalized after detailed discussion here. Congress may release the first list by the end of September.
The imprint of Karnataka is visible in the screening committee of Madhya Pradesh. MP Saptagiri Ulka, who played a key role in Karnataka Congress ticket distribution, has been included in the Madhya Pradesh screening committee. This time, Congress is looking for a winning as well as a durable candidate. On the basis of work in the field, the candidate who wins will be given the ticket. The party is looking for a winnable and durable candidate. According to Congress sources, surveys are being conducted at two levels for ticket distribution in the state. An agency working for Kamal Nath in Madhya Pradesh is preparing a survey. A team attached to the high command is also conducting a survey. On the basis of both the surveys, observers and election committee members will prepare the list. Numbering in the list will be done on the basis of winning and durable. Recently Digvijay Singh had said that only Kamal Nath’s survey will be considered final. Kamal Nath is searching for a sustainable candidate who can win every seat.
guaranteed to win a seat
The recommendations of big leaders have dominated the distribution of Congress tickets during elections. Big leaders used to finalize the tickets of their supporters directly from Delhi. This has been seen more in MP elections. According to Congress sources, recommendation politics will continue this time too, but the method has been changed. This time the seats where the big leaders will guarantee to win and the report will also seal it, their supporters will be given tickets. Digvijay’s recommendation will be given due consideration in the seats where the Congress is losing in three consecutive elections in MP.
Search for joint killer for hot seats
Last year in MP, the Congress had fielded big faces on the hot seats. For example, Congress had given ticket to former president Arun Yadav against Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. Yadav was not successful in winning the election. Congress suffered more losses in Nimar by fielding Yadav in Shivraj’s constituency. Because, Yadav remained busy in Budhni Assembly throughout the elections. This time Congress is looking for a joint killer to contest elections on hot seats. According to Congress sources, preparations are being made to give tickets to local leaders or people from social background on hot seats, so that the equation can be reversed.
Trust in loyalty, tickets go to them only
Congress has also prepared a formula for giving tickets to outside leaders. The party will give tickets to only those defectors who, along with winning the elections, are loyal. Recently, the pair of Kamal Nath and Digvijay have inducted a large number of BJP leaders into the party. According to Congress sources, most of the leaders who are being inducted into the party are being assured of adjustment after coming to power. Congress may release the first list of candidates by the end of September or the first week of October. According to a senior state Congress leader, the party will give place to only those candidates in the first list, whose chances of leaving the party are zero. That is, the candidature of big leaders can be announced by the end of September.
That’s why Congress changed strategy
Before the Lok Sabha elections, the election of Madhya Pradesh is very important for the Congress. Here the party has a direct fight with the BJP. If it loses the election here, then there will be a wrong narrative set towards the party, which will have a direct impact on the Lok Sabha elections. After the defeat in the state, Congress will get less preference even in the alliance. In all the surveys that have come so far regarding MP, a close contest is being shown. In such a situation, Congress does not want to take any risk here. In 2018, due to almost equal number of seats, the Congress government could not last for long. The government fell because of the defections of the MLAs. This time, the Congress is preparing to give a tough fight on the hot seat as well, so that the BJP’s regional satrap is confined in its area and the strategy of the party’s local versus national leadership becomes successful.
