Kolkata (Hindustan Reporter) There are signs of rift in the opposition INDI alliance formed against BJP. The two-day Politburo meeting of CPI(M) held in Kolkata concluded on Sunday. According to sources, it has been decided in the meeting that CPI(M) will not send its representative to the INDI committee. The reason for this is that Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s nephew Abhishek Banerjee has also been given a place in it.
It is noteworthy that the 14th place in the 14-member committee was kept vacant by INDI alliance. CPI(M) representative was to be included in this. It was told by the party that it would announce its candidate later. After this, it became clear in the two-day Politburo meeting in Kolkata that the party will not remain in a committee with Abhishek Banerjee. Kerala CPI(M), on the other hand, has also made it clear that it cannot be a part of any committee with Congress. Therefore the rift in the committee of INDIA alliance is clear.
Although the party has made it clear in the Kolkata meeting that it will remain a part of the alliance, it has clarified the position on many points. The first thing is that we will strengthen the alliance further. Will support in united fight to remove BJP from power at the Centre. However, the party said that no such committee should have been formed which would take decisions on its own and others would have to follow them.
In fact, Bengal CPI(M) had expressed strong displeasure over the presence of Sitaram Yechury along with Mamata Banerjee on the stage of the alliance meeting. However, Mohammad Salim had said that it is necessary to come together for a big fight. This does not at all mean that we will support Trinamool. The party has also made it clear that the committee that has been formed was also not necessary. Now it has to be seen what is India’s stand on this.
