Meghalaya Governor Satya Pal Malik’s statements are creating a storm in the political circles. Satyapal was earlier in the headlines for his statement regarding Mehbooba Mufti but now he is targeting BJP and RSS. Even before this, Satyapal had openly supported the withdrawal of three agricultural laws, now he is being attacked for corruption in Goa to the deal in Jammu and Kashmir.
Most corruption in Goa
In an interview to the media, Satyapal said that I stand by my remarks on the BJP government’s malpractices in dealing with Covid in Goa. There was corruption in everything the Goa government did. I was fired for my allegation of corruption against the Goa government. I am a Lohiaist; I have spent time with Charan Singh; I cannot tolerate corruption. He said that the scheme of door-to-door distribution of ration by the Goa government was not going well. This was done by a company which had given money to the government. People including Congress people asked me to investigate. I investigated the matter and informed the Prime Minister.

PM Modi is being misled
Regarding the file deal in Jammu and Kashmir, Satyapal said that I was told that I am likely to get Rs 300 crore for clearing those two files. I shared it with the Prime Minister. He said that there is no compromise on corruption. I canceled both deals. Now everyone is getting free insurance in Jammu and Kashmir. Let us tell you that one of these files belonged to Ambani and the other was related to a senior RSS official and a minister in the Mehbooba government. There was a mistake in both the files. Speaking about PM Modi he said that PM is against corruption but PM can also be misled. The difference between the politics of the 70-80-90s and the politics of today is no longer worth doing. Politics at that time was a mission. If you told someone that you were in politics in those days, people would think that you are doing something good. Today that feeling no longer exists.
