Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) spokesperson Sambit Patra has attacked Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. Patra has hit back at Rahul Gandhi’s statement on Hinduism. He has said that the entire Gandhi family is bent on defaming Hinduism. It is the nature of Congress and Gandhi family to target Hinduism. First, they tell Hinduism wrong, then when the elections are near, they take blessings only by visiting the temples of Hindu gods and goddesses. He said that Congress only goes to the temples of Hindu gods and goddesses to woo Hindus.
Reaction to Rahul Gandhi’s statement
Talking to the media, Patra said that it is unfortunate that within 24 hours Hindu religion was targeted thrice by the Congress party. First Salman Khurshid, then Rashid Alvi and now their tallest leader Rahul Gandhi has done this. He further said that whenever the Congress and the Gandhi family get a chance, they target Hinduism. In the press conference, Sambit Patra alleged that the attack on Hinduism is the character of the Gandhi family. Patra said that information has been received from Wikileaks that Rahul Gandhi has said that India is under threat from Hindus. He further said that “Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself had said in Canada that Hinduism is not a religion, it is a way of life. Mohan Bhagwat had also told the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh platform that Hinduism is not a religion but a way of life. That’s why Rahul Gandhi said that our Hindu religion is different from our Sanatan Hinduism.

Salman Khurshid’s statement also targeted
On Salman Khurshid’s statement, Patra said that Congress leader Salman Khurshid comparing Hinduism with Boko Haram and ISIS or Shashi Tharoor giving the term Hindu Taliban is not a coincidence but an experiment. P Chidambaram first coined the term saffron terrorism on 25 August 2010. After Rahul Gandhi, people like Shashi Tharoor, Salman Khurshid, Digvijay Singh and Mani Shankar Aiyar make derogatory statements against Hinduism. Let us tell you that recently Rahul Gandhi had said in his statement that there is a difference between Hindu religion and Hindutva. Since this statement, the controversy is not taking its name to stop.
