First Navjot Singh Sidhu got the command of Punjab Congress, then Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh resigned from his post and was handed over to Sardar Charanjit Singh Channi of Punjab, then everyone felt that all is well in Punjab now but it did not happen Punjab Congress President Navjot Singh Sidhu also resigned Now there are speculations about former Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh joining the BJP. Captain welcome in BJP?
No one is talking openly about whether Amarinder Singh will join BJP or not. After resigning from the post of Chief Minister of Punjab, Amarinder Singh had targeted Navjot Singh Sidhu saying that if Sidhu becomes the CM of Punjab, it will be a threat to the security of the country. Since then, the BJP also started targeting Sidhu, taking forward Amarinder’s point on the same pitch. Nationalism has been a strong pitch of BJP. Even as the Chief Minister, when the Congress raised questions regarding the renovation of Jallianwala Bagh, Amarinder Singh had defended the central government. Captain’s chances of joining the BJP seem slim because during his tenure as the Chief Minister of Punjab and for the last one year, he has been continuously asking the Center to withdraw all the three agriculture laws. He was always against agricultural laws. If you do so, it will be harmful for the Captain himself.
