Before next year’s assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh, 4 big faces of the state can be included in the Modi cabinet. These include Apna Dal (S) national president Anupriya Patel, Nishad Party’s Praveen Nishad, BJP MP Varun Gandhi from Pilibhit and Shiv Pratap Shukla from Purvanchal. The purpose of including all these in the Modi cabinet is to set the caste equation in different seats of UP, so that it can benefit BJP in the elections next year.
More focus on the 5 states which have elections
Political stir is intensifying in Delhi. In the second term of the Modi government, the expansion of the cabinet has not happened yet. In such a situation, it is said that the five states of the country where elections are going to be held next year, have the highest focus. These include elections in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Goa and Manipur. According to sources, the faces of these states can get maximum space in the expansion of the Modi government.
Trying to strengthen relations with allies of UP
Speculation is rife about Apna Dal’s Anupriya Patel and Nishad Party’s Praveen Nishad as ministers in the Modi cabinet. This speculation is also being seen because before the elections in UP, BJP does not want to upset its allies in any way. About a week ago, leaders of Nishad Party and Apna Dal S have met Home Minister Amit Shah. It is said that in this both the parties had demanded to decide their role in the government.
It was only after meeting Shah that Apna Dal (S) was given two seats for the Zilla Panchayat President election in UP. Anupriya Patel’s party has a lot of influence in Sonbhadra and adjoining districts of Purvanchal. Apna Dal is considered to be the largest party of OBCs. It is being said that by including Anupriya Patel in the cabinet, the party can get the support of Kurmi caste in UP. The second ally in UP is the Nishad Party. Sanjay Nishad claims that the party’s influence is in 140 seats in UP. So BJP can get its benefit in UP.
