Captain’s target is not Sidhu but Gandhi family. I will not allow the Captain to target the Gandhi family. He further said – Captain Amarinder Singh has been defaming Punjab for the last 5 years. The people of this party have been tolerating him for the last four and a half years. Had I been the leader of the party, I would have expelled the Captain from the party in 30 days.

It is being said that Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa was ahead in the race for Punjab CM by beating Sidhu. At the same time, opposition was also raised in the meeting regarding the name of Sunil Jakhar for the post of Chief Minister. Significantly, 79-year-old Congress powerful Amarinder Singh resigned from his post after talking to party president Sonia Gandhi and said that he was made to feel “humiliated”.
