Punished for asking questions on Adani

Rahul Gandhi said that he is the first person who has been given the biggest punishment in a defamation case. ‘I am the first person to be punished like this’
Responding to reporters’ questions, Rahul Gandhi, referring to his disqualification from Parliament, said it happened after his speech on the Adani-Hindenburg controversy in the Lok Sabha. I asked a question and I became the first person in India to get the biggest punishment in a defamation case since 1947 in history. Rahul Gandhi further said, no one has been given the maximum punishment, that too on the first offence. This makes it clear what is happening to me. It is quite interesting to see my disqualification after my speech about Adani in Parliament. So you can do the math.
Opposition uniting, hard work will pay off
At the same time, Rahul Gandhi kept his point on opposition unity as well. He said that his party is in touch with fellow opposition forces. Rahul said his party is holding regular talks with all opposition parties, adding that “very good work is being done” in this regard. Rahul Gandhi said, “The opposition is very well united and it is connecting more strongly. We are in talks with all the opposition. I think there’s a lot of good work going on there.”
‘Muslim League is a secular party’
Rahul Gandhi also spoke about the alliance with the Muslim League in Kerala. He said that Muslim League is a completely secular party. The opposition is uniting. We are talking to all opposition parties. A lot of good work is going on in this regard.
