Bhopal (Hindustan Reporter) The doubt regarding the post of Chief Minister in Madhya Pradesh has ended. Mohan Yadav will be the new Chief Minister of the state. This has been decided in the BJP Legislature Party meeting held on Monday. After the meeting, Mohan Yadav reached Raj Bhavan and met Governor Mangubhai Patel and staked claim to form the government.
Observers appointed by the BJP central leadership include Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, BJP MP K. In the presence of Laxman and party leader Asha Lakra, a meeting of the legislature party was held at the party’s state office on Monday evening, in which Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan proposed to make Mohan Yadav the Chief Minister. The legislative party approved this proposal.
Shivraj Singh Chauhan’s resignation
After the legislative party meeting, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan reached Raj Bhavan and submitted his resignation to the Governor. The Governor accepted his resignation.
According to state BJP president VD Sharma, in the legislature party meeting, senior BJP leader Shivraj Singh Chauhan proposed the name of Mohan Yadav as the new leader of the legislature party. Narendra Singh Tomar, Kailash Vijayvargiya, Prahlad Patel and other senior leaders supported the proposal.
The new Chief Minister of the state, 58-year-old Mohan Yadav is the MLA from Ujjain South seat. He comes from OBC category. Mohan Yadav became MLA from Ujjain South seat for the first time in 2013. After this, he was re-elected in the 2018 assembly elections. On 2 July 2020, he was sworn in as a cabinet minister in the Shivraj Singh Chouhan-led Madhya Pradesh government. He was the Higher Education Minister in the previous government led by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. Earlier in 1982, he was also the co-secretary of Madhav Science College Students Union.
After being nominated as the Chief Minister, Mohan Yadav while talking to the media said that it is only BJP which gives such a big responsibility to a small worker. He said that I express my gratitude for this new responsibility. We will definitely take the caravan of development forward.

In Ujjain, Mohan Yadav’s wife said that it is the blessings of Lord Mahakal and the blessings of the party. It is a matter of great pleasure. He has also struggled a lot. Certainly today the result of that struggle has been achieved.
