From cooking gas cylinders to rice, potatoes, onions, pulses and vegetables prices have gone up in flames. Due to this caste violence, everyday items like LPG cylinder has become 1800 rupees in the black market. A sack of rice worth Rs 900 is also being sold for Rs 1800. Petrol, the lifeline of any state’s economy, is being sold at Rs 170 per litre. After this, the price of potato and onion has increased from Rs 20 to Rs 30-30 per kg. Eggs are also being sold for Rs.300 instead of Rs.180. The condition of the general public is miserable due to such black marketing.

Know what is the reason for violence
Let us tell you that the latest violence in Manipur is being linked to that decision of the Manipur High Court. In which the state government was directed to send a recommendation to the Center as a Scheduled Tribe for the majority Meitei community. Following this directive, the All Tribal Students Union Manipur (ATSUM) of the state took out a tribal solidarity march. After which violence broke out in the state.
