Today is the last day of proceedings in the country’s old Parliament House. Parliament will shift to the new building on September 19. The central government has called a special session of Parliament from 18 to 22 September. Today, on the first day of the special session in the Old Parliament, work is going on in both the Houses. During his speech, PM Modi praised former Prime Ministers Jawahar Lal Nehru and Indira Gandhi. He said- In this very House, the echo of Pandit Nehru’s ‘Stroke of Midnight’ inspires all of us. The movement for the liberation of Bangladesh and its support was carried out in this House under the leadership of Indira Gandhi. BJP MPs clapped on the praise of Nehru-Indira, but no MP from the Congress camp clapped.
When Sonia Gandhi told Adhir Ranjan Chaudhary- Now speak on women’s reservation
After PM Modi, Congress MP Adhir Ranjan Choudhary was speaking in the Lok Sabha. He enumerated the works of the previous Congress governments. During this, Sonia interrupted him and asked him to speak on women’s reservation.
Kharge poetically told BJP – If you cannot do anything then leave the chair.
A different style of Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge was seen in the old Parliament today. He started his speech by reciting poetry in Rajya Sabha. He said- If you want to change then change the situation now, what happens by changing the name like this. If you have to give then give employment to the youth, what happens by making everyone unemployed. Expand your heart a little and see what happens when you kill people. If you can’t do anything then leave your chair, what’s the point of threatening you in conversation? You are proud of your rule, what is the use of intimidating people?
When Kharge said to the Chairman – We see you, you see them
Kharge accused the Center of suppressing the voice of the opposition. He told Rajya Sabha Chairman and Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar – They (BJP) do not even listen to you. We see you and you see them. On this Dhankhar said – Kharge ji, I am not helpless, I am strong.
Congress President Kharge said – Nadda says INDI to make our alliance small.
Mallikarjun Kharge said- BJP President JP Nadda calls INDI to make INDIA alliance look small. PM Modi comes to Parliament rarely and whenever he comes, he makes it an event and goes away.
Supriya Sule said- Today BJP did not take the names of Sushma Swaraj and Arun Jaitley.
NCP MP Supriya Sule praised PM Modi’s speech. Then he said- Today BJP did not take the names of its two leaders, whose work I am very impressed with. I think Sushma Swaraj and Arun Jaitley were among the big leaders of BJP. He always talked about cooperative federalism. It is not a matter of this side or that side. There should always be talk of good work.
Modi’s last 50-minute speech in the old Parliament: Said- House saw cash for votes and removal of 370
On the last day of Parliament proceedings in the Old Parliament, PM Modi gave his last speech of 50 minutes. During this, the PM remembered the former Prime Ministers and said – This is the House where the echo of Pandit Nehru’s Stroke of Midnight inspires us all. This House also witnessed the Bangladesh Liberation War movement under the leadership of Indira Gandhi.
PM Modi again on top in global leader approval list: Biden at seventh and Sunak at 15th place
PM Modi remains on top in the latest approval rating list of global leaders. This time he has got 76% approval rating. After Modi, Switzerland’s President Alain Berset is second in the list with 64% approval rating and Mexico’s President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador is third.
