Former Bihar Chief Minister and RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav is out on bail these days in the fodder scam case. Lalu came out of bail in 2021 after being in jail for about 3 years, but Lalu has got another big setback. Lalu has been found guilty in the fifth fodder scam case. Ranchi’s CBI court has convicted him in the case of embezzlement of 139.35 crore from Doranda treasury.
The court has acquitted 24 people in this case, while 35 people, including Lalu’s close leaders Jagdish Sharma and Dhruv Bhagat, have been sentenced to three years each. Let us tell you, Lalu will be sentenced on this case on February 21. If Lalu Yadav is also sentenced to three years or less, then he will get bail from the court itself, otherwise he will be taken into custody. As soon as the information about Lalu’s conviction came out, there was despair among his supporters from Patna to Ranchi. The court complex is full of Lalu leaders. Police guard has been tightened. Let us tell you, on January 29, Special CBI Judge SK Shashi had completed the hearing on the matter and the date of judgment was fixed on February 15. Therefore, now the decision has come from the court on this matter and Lalu has got a big setback.

Before the hearing in the court, Lalu’s lawyer Prabhat Kumar had said, the age of the accused is more than 75 years. Lalu Yadav is not in a position to go to jail. In such a situation, relief from the court is expected. On the other hand, Lalu Yadav has already been convicted in four out of five cases related to the multi-crore fodder scam. In such a situation, Lalu can get relief. If Lalu goes to jail this time too, then his party and family will get a big setback.
