Kanpur: 60 polling stations were decorated as model polling stations

Kanpur | District Magistrate Visakh ji inspected various polling places to know the status of the polling parties which left for the safe, peaceful and smooth conduct of the urban body general elections. During the inspection, he interacted with the polling parties. While installing the following instructions, it should be ensured that the instructions given in the training are followed literally. Special attention should be given to all the polling parties to conduct mock polls on time in the presence of agents to start polling. 60 polling stations have been prepared as model polling stations, in which polling friends have been deployed through civil defence, NCC, scouts etc.

The said polling friends will provide support to the old and disabled voters coming to vote. Wheelchairs have also been arranged for the disabled voters through ALIMCS. It will be mandatory to have any of the following identity cards at the polling place for voting. Voter ID Card Aadhaar Card issued by the Election Commission of India. Passport. Driving license. Income Tax ID Card | Identity cards with photographs issued by the State / Central Government, Public Sector Undertakings, Local Bodies or Public Limited Companies to their employees Passbooks with photographs issued by Public Sector Banks / Post Offices Pension records with photographs such as Ex-Servicemen Pension Book, Pension Payment Order , old age pension etc. Freedom Fighters Identity Card with photo.

Arms license with photo. Physically handicapped certificate with photograph. Health insurance smart card issued under the scheme of Ministry of Labour. Smart card issued by Registrar General of India under National Population Register. Government identity cards, ration cards issued to MPs, MLAs/Legislative Council members.
