Ghaziabad. BJP’s National President JP Nadda started the ‘Meri Mati-Mera Desh’ campaign from Ghaziabad. On Saturday, he reached the house of martyr Major Mohit Sharma in Mohannagar and took soil from there. After this, in a program, he said, ‘Some people had come to Mumbai yesterday. Who were these people? These were the people who wanted to take the family forward. Lalu is worried about Tejashwi, Akhilesh is worried about Dimple, Sonia ji is worried about Rahul. Why are these national parties? These are family parties.
He also said, ‘Who is Uddhav Thackeray worried about, Maharashtra or Aditya? Sharad’s party broke due to family reasons. Trinamool Congress is not for Bengal, but for the nephew. No outsider name is visible in Lalu Yadav’s party. Some are accused of railway recruitment land scam and some of fodder scam. Mother and son are out on bail in the National Herald case. JP Nadda jokingly asked – Where is Manish Sisodia these days? Does Arvind ji sleep? All these people do not care about the country. They are concerned with saving themselves.
8 thousand urns will be transported from UP to Delhi
Talking about the ‘Meri Mati-Mera Desh’ campaign, Nadda said, “Its purpose is to remember the patriots. We will go to ward, village, nagar panchayat. Will go to the homes of those who were martyred in each of the forces of the country. Will meet their family members and make them realize that they are not alone. The whole country stands with him. A stone plaque with the names of martyrs will be installed in every ward. 75-75 saplings will be planted in every ward and Nagar Panchayat. These saplings will reach Delhi by the end of October-23, where they will be planted in Amrit Vatika. A total of 8,000 urns filled with soil from UP will be sent to Delhi.

He said, ‘India has become the 5th largest economy in 9 years. Steel production moved from 14th to second place. It is at third place in automobiles, surpassing Japan. 97 percent of mobiles today are being made in India.

Before this, JP Nadda reached Ghaziabad on Saturday morning. He launched the ‘Meri Mati-Mera Desh’ campaign in Sahibabad area. JP Nadda took soil from the house of Major Mohit Sharma who was martyred in Kupwara and filled it in the urn. During this period, soil was also collected from nearby houses. Here he has also planted saplings in an Amrit Vatika.

Nadda who took soil at the house of martyr Major Mohit Sharma, he was martyred to protect the country. Born on January 13, 1978, Mohit joined the Army in 1995 through the NDA. Mohit was selected as the best battalion cadet in NDA. Major Mohit Sharma’s posting was in Kupwara on March 21, 2009. In an encounter, he killed two terrorists and saved the lives of two of his comrades. During this time he attained martyrdom.
Road, metro station named after Mohit Sharma
Martyr Major Mohit Sharma was posthumously awarded the Ashok Chakra on 26 January 2010. In the year 2012, a road in Ghaziabad was named after Mohit Sharma. In 2019, Rajendranagar metro station was named as Shaheed Major Mohit Sharma Metro Station. In the year 2021, a statue of Major Mohit Sharma was also installed at Karan Gate Police Chowki intersection in Ghaziabad, which was inaugurated by Defense Minister Rajnath Singh.
PM had announced this campaign on July 30
‘Meri Mati-Mera Desh’ campaign is being run to honor the heroes of the country. PM Modi had announced this campaign in ‘Mann Ki Baat’ episode on 30 July. The aim of this campaign is to honor the brave freedom fighters and heroes who sacrificed their lives for the country. Under this campaign, programs will be organized across the country in memory of the brave soldiers. In every gram panchayat, a memorial will be constructed in the memory of the brave fighters, which has been named ‘Shilafalakam’. On this the names of all the fighters of that area will be recorded.
Amrit Vatika will be built from this soil in Delhi
At the government level, this program started from 9th August and continued till 30th August. Now BJP is taking this campaign forward and it started on 2 September from Ghaziabad district of Uttar Pradesh. Soil will be collected in about 7500 urns from all over the country and will reach Delhi, where ‘Amrit Vatika’ will be built near the National War Memorial. This ‘Amrit Vatika’ will also become a grand symbol of ‘Ek Bharat-Shrestha Bharat’.
