INDIA Meeting: India Alliance (INDIA Alliance)’s first meeting of the 14-member coordination committee will be held today (September 13) at NCP leader Sharad Pawar’s residence in New Delhi. It is being told that seat distribution among the allies and the strategy for Lok Sabha elections are to be discussed in the meeting. According to sources, leaders of several opposition parties have demanded that the seat-sharing formula be decided soon so that a joint opposition candidate can be fielded to take on the BJP candidates on the Lok Sabha seats.

Before the meeting, committee member and AAP MP Raghav Chadha said that issues like reaching out to people, planning joint rallies and running door-to-door campaigns would be discussed. According to Chadha, to make this alliance successful, every political party will have to give up ambitions, differences and discord. He said that for successful results we will have to make sacrifices.
These leaders will not attend the meeting
At present, information has been received that this meeting will be held in the evening. Abhishek Banerjee of Trinamool Congress will not be present in the meeting. Actually, he will appear before the Enforcement Directorate today in the case related to teacher recruitment scam. At the same time, no member of the committee has been nominated by CPM yet, hence he will also not attend the meeting. JDU National President Lalan Singh will not attend the India Alliance Coordination Committee meeting due to ill health. Minister and JDU leader Sanjay Kumar Jha will replace him in the meeting.
Uddhav-Pawar meeting before the meeting
Ahead of the first meeting of the coordination committee of the opposition alliance, Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Uddhav Thackeray and NCP president Sharad Pawar met in Mumbai on Tuesday (September 12) evening. Overall, discussions lasted for about 90 minutes during the meeting between the two leaders at Power’s “Silver Oak” home in south Mumbai. Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut and NCP leader Jayant Patil also attended the meeting. He claimed to the media that during this meeting the current political environment in Maharashtra and the meeting of the India Alliance Coordination Panel were discussed.
