India Canada Row: Canada is facing opposition after making false allegations against India. Now Sri Lanka has also supported India in this regard. Sri Lanka has termed the allegations made by Canada as baseless. Sri Lankan Foreign Minister Ali Sabri, reacting to the India-Canada dispute, said that some terrorists have found safe haven in Canada. Canada is gradually becoming a stronghold of terrorists, which is a matter of concern.
He said that the Canadian Prime Minister has made some outrageous allegations without any evidence. He should have made these allegations after thinking carefully, which he did not do and now he is suffering the consequences of it.
Canada has also accused Sri Lanka
He said that Canada has also made many such derogatory allegations against Sri Lanka. Regarding Sri Lanka, Canada had said that it is a country where terrible massacres have taken place, but let me tell you that it is not like that. Everyone knows what happened, we cannot call it genocide.
Sabri said that yesterday I saw that Trudeau was enthusiastically welcoming someone associated with the Nazis. This is doubtful. We have dealt with this in the past. Trudeau has made outrageous allegations before, I am not surprised.
‘Canadians are being harmed’
At the same time, Sri Lanka’s outgoing High Commissioner to India, Melinda Moragoda, said that India has given a strong and unabashed response to Canada’s allegations. Sri Lanka supports India in this matter. He said that Canada is becoming a safe place for terrorists, due to which the people there are being harmed. Canada needs to pay attention to this.
