Even though Nitish Kumar is running the government in Bihar with the help of BJP, but in the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections, Nitish Kumar’s party Janata Dal (United) is entering the electoral arena on its own. JDU has released its list for 26 assembly seats in UP. It is being told that due to the ongoing political upheaval in Bihar, the distance between the two parties is increasing. However, no one is refusing to say anything right now. Party’s national president Lalan Singh has released his first list.
What did Lalan Singh say?
JDU National President Lalan Singh said that, “Election is going on in Uttar Pradesh and three to four months ago RCP Singh had said that he had talks with Amit Shah, JP Nadda and Dharmendra Pradhan. Those people told that the BJP-JDU wants to fight the elections together. We waited for a long time with confidence, but there was no positive reply from BJP till Friday evening.”

On the other hand, regarding the UP elections, BJP national president JP Nadda said that, “NDA’s partner in Uttar Pradesh is Apna Dal and Nishad Party.” However, after this announcement, a list of 26 seats was released on behalf of JDU. JDU’s UP state president says, “There are more than one candidate in many seats. The candidates will also be announced in two to three days. We had fielded 15 candidates apart from BJP in Arunachal and out of them seven candidates won. The BJP did not even say that talks with JDU are going on.”
