The central government is constantly on the radar from the soil of Bengal. Whether there is an election or not, the ruckus of the Mamta government against the Modi government continues. West Bengal Finance Minister Amit Mitra has made a big allegation on the Modi government. Amit Mitra on Thursday, citing three different studies, claimed that between 2014 and 2020, 35 thousand big businessmen have left the country during the tenure of PM Modi. Mitra wondered whether it was because of an atmosphere of fear. At the same time, he also demanded that PM Modi should bring a white paper in Parliament on this issue. The Finance Minister of West Bengal tweeted that all these absconding entrepreneurs are high net worth individuals and they have now become NRIs.
Serial tweets, many big allegations
West Bengal Finance Minister Amit Mitra made a series of tweets on Thursday. Mitra wrote on Twitter, 35000 big entrepreneurs left the country between 2014 and 2020 under the Modi government. India ranks first in the world in terms of migration. Why? Because of fear? The PM should bring a white paper in the Parliament regarding the exodus of businessmen on such a large scale during his tenure. Citing a study, Mitra wrote that between 2014 and 2018, about 23,000 highest-paid entrepreneurs left the country. After this, in the year 2019, 7000 entrepreneurs left India and then in the year 2020, 5000 businessmen left the country.
Questions raised on Piyush Goyal
West Bengal Finance Minister Amit Mitra also criticized Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal in this matter. Mitra recalled Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal’s statement in which he criticized the Indian business world. In August this year, a 19-minute video of Piyush Goyal’s remarks at the annual meeting of the Confederation of Indian Industry had sparked controversy. At that time, Goyal had said that the business priorities of Indian industry were against national interests. Mitra also raised the question that even after making such statements of Piyush Goyal, PM Modi did not reprimand him, why? Let us inform that Amit Mitra’s tenure as Finance Minister is only a few days left. Because, without winning the assembly elections, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee made him the Finance Minister, it was thought that he would contest the by-election but Agriculture Minister Shobhan Dev Chatterjee is contesting from his constituency.
