Chief spokesperson of Aam Aadmi Party Saurabh Bhardwaj said that only Rs 28 crore is available with North Delhi Municipal Corporation out of Rs 1232 crore of GPF of employees. BJP leaders of MCD are not depositing GPF of employees since 2014. The BJP-ruled MCD has not given GPF to many employees even after their retirement. He said that Delhi BJP state president Adesh Gupta should tell where did the GPF of 1200 crores of corporation employees go? From where will the new party which will form the government in MCD get this money.
Aam Aadmi Party’s chief spokesperson and MLA Saurabh Bhardwaj addressed the press conference on Thursday at the party headquarters. Saurabh Bhardwaj said that whether private or government, the GPF of every employee is deducted. In this, one part is deducted from the salary of the employee and the other part has to be deposited by the employer. For an employee, there is a high expectation regarding the GPF corpus at the time of retirement. The employee thinks that after retiring, with GPF money, I will marry children, build a house, invest money in business and do other big things of life, which I have not been able to do while in the job.

He said that the Leader of Opposition in the North Delhi Municipal Corporation asked the question that how much GPF money should be given to the employees? To which the answer came that Rs 1232.45 crore should be the GPF of the employees. After this the question was asked that how much money is due to the employees who have retired. Because there are many employees who have retired but they have not been given GPF. Then replied that he has a liability of about Rs 38.24 crore.
The MLA said that besides asking the question that out of Rs 1232 crore, how much money do you have now. The surprising thing is that instead of 1232 crores, only Rs 28 crores are available with the North Delhi Municipal Corporation at this time. Where did the rest 1200 crore go? This money cannot go anywhere else. This money has to be given to the employee or it is with the institution. Apart from this, out of 38 crores to be given to retired employees, only 28 crores are left.
Saurabh Bhardwaj said that after this we asked the question that how much money has been deposited in this account since 2014 till now. Surprisingly, no money has been deposited in this account since 2014. Money is being deducted from the salary of the employees, but is not being deposited. The government is a very big thing, if a private company does not even deposit GPF money, then there is a criminal case and jail on it. BJP leaders of MCD are not depositing GPF since 2014. He not only robbed the people of Delhi by planting lanterns, brooms, in the mountains of garbage but also did not spare his employees.
He said that Delhi BJP’s state president Adesh Gupta should tell where did 1200 crore rupees of corporation employees go? From where will you get this money? BJP will go from MCD by missing this money. The new party that will come in MCD and whose government will be formed, from where will they get this money. This is a very serious question.
